The Franklin Group develops circuits, antennas and integration approaches operate in the RF to sub-millimeter frequency regime. Our approach involves design, fabrication, and testing. We develop sensors for far-field beam forming and near-field beam focusing with unique beam shapes and phases. We also develop diagnostic systems to characterize of novel materials (e.g. biomaterials with the Bond Group, magnetic nanowires and conducting nanowires with the Stadler Group, etc.). Our efforts are useful in communications, custom RFID, GPS, radar applications as well as in developing methods for detecting bio-labels for cancer research.
