Hondzo’s research focuses on life in water ecosystems is sustained by the interaction of organisms through their physical environments, including moving fluids. Ecological fluid mechanics is the study of the interaction between these moving fluids and the physiology, metabolism, and behavior of living organisms. Hondzo makes use of remote sensing techniques as a critical component of his field research.
