The McAlpine Research Group is focused on 3D printing functional materials & devices. We employ robotic and nano technologies to achieve autonomous, freeform fabrication of customizable, multifunctional device architectures on living platforms. Examples include direct printing of remote sensors on insects or animals for biotelemetry, and 3D printing of biostructures and electronics on human bodies for medical applications.
